5.1.6 Using the Filters
The S4's FILTER encoders located on Channels A & B can be used to apply the Filter effect to
a TRAKTOR DJ Deck. Moving one of these FILTER encoders from its 12 o'clock position ini-
tiates the Filter function in TRAKTOR DJ.

To reveal the Filter display of TRAKTOR DJ:

Touch your finger on the Filter section of a TRAKTOR DJ Decks Equalizer display.

Turning one of the S4's FILTER knobs clockwise cuts the low end frequencies, whereas
turning counter clockwise cuts the high end. You'll notice here that when you move a
FILTER button to the right (HPF), the Filter also moves to the right along its X axis within
TRAKTOR DJ, and vice a versa to the left (LPF).
